The Social Justice and Charity Committee conducts a number of parish events that contribute to agencies that provide care for the poor, including Thanksgiving and Christmas outreach programs, and support for pregnant women in crisis. Additionally, the committee strives to raise awareness of social concerns through such events as our Spiritual Adoption program.

It’s my birthday!! Thank you so much for all your prayers! Because you have prayed for me, I got the best of all gifts—life!
Thank You
On behalf of Fr. Larry and our Charity and Social Justice Committee, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in our Spiritual Adoption Program during these past nine months.
During this time we were asked to pray for the health and safety of those in danger of being denied the right to life. It is evident that our prayers have been effective as seen in a decrease in the number of abortions performed nationally and as attested to by those who have witnessed a last minute change of heart and a new hope in young mothers through the love, care, and compassion of participants and councilors at prayer vigils near abortion clinics.
May you be blessed for your generosity of heart and spirit. And through our continued prayers and support, may those yet to be born continue to be saved that they may enjoy the fullness of life.

Let us pray…
Almighty and ever living God who is the source of all life…
We ask your blessings upon those children who through your divine intervention have been spared from abortion. May they thrive in a good home, with caring and loving parents. May they grow up strong in body and spirit and be ever mindful of your eternal love. And as they grow in wisdom, may they come to appreciate the life you have given them and be your disciples, sharing your love with their families, friends and all with whom they come into contact. May they be true instruments of your peace.
We offer this prayer through Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever. Amen.
