The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process by which adults enter into full communion with the Roman Catholic Church. RCIA is open to:
those who have not been baptized
those baptized in another Christian denomination who are considering becoming a member of the Roman Catholic Church
baptized Catholics who did not complete the Sacraments of Initiation or who were not raised in the practice of the Faith
A member of the RCIA team will meet with a candidate to testify to the value of Christian faith in his or her own life. He or she prays for, guides, and supports the prospective candidate along the way of faith and membership in the Church.
Those interested in joining the Catholic Church can read about the RCIA process here.
