On Saturday, November 9th Good Shepherd will host its annual Holiday Fair from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the Parish Center and Parish Hall.
The Holiday Fair features a wide array of baked goods including a bake sale table, cookie walk, and specialty fudge. Enjoy all the latest family recipes from breads and pastries to brownies and peanut butter balls. Homemade baked beans and meat pies are also available for purchase.
If you’re looking for a unique gift, check out the crafter tables. You’ll find a wide array of handcrafted items, such as baby blankets, pillows, hats, scarves, home decor, and doll dresses.
Among the highlights of the fair are the wide array of raffle items, from over 50 themed baskets to gift card raffle featuring gift certificates from dozens of local merchants. Among are larger raffle prizes include a scratch ticket tree, restaurant gift card ladder, beer steins, kitchen and bath sets, and more.
Starting at 11:00 a.m., Good Shepherd will offer a luncheon with three options to choose from, each served with chips, a drink, and dessert. All are available for the low price of $6.00. These include a sausage, pepper, and onion sub; chicken parmesan sub; or meatball sub.
Kids’ meals include a hot dog or meatball sub, along with chips, a drink, and a dessert. Bring your whole family.
The Good Shepherd Holiday Fair is the parish’s largest fundraiser of the year, and supports the continued spiritual development and community outreach the parish provides. Among these outreach efforts include their co-sponsorship with St Augustine’s Parish (Millville) of the building of a new church in one of the poorest areas of the Amazon rainforest, located in Mitú Colombia.
