Those involved in liturgical ministries play key roles in providing welcoming, engaging, and spiritually enriching worship each Weekend as the congregation joins to celebrate Mass.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion: | Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion serve the community by assisting with the distribution of Holy Communion at Mass and/or to the sick and homebound. Ministers have the desire to care for God’s people through the distribution of the Blessed Sacrament. |
Proclaimers of the Word: | Lay readers proclaim the scripture readings at Mass, with the exception of the Gospel. They may also announce the intentions at the general intercession, and in the absence of a cantor, may read the Psalms between the readings. |
Altar Servers: | The ministry of altar servers is to assist the celebrant and other ministers in the celebration of the Sacred Liturgy. |
Ushers/Greeters: | Parishioners who welcome the congregation to Mass and present them with the weekly bulletin. They later pass the collection basket and present the offering to the Church. |
Decorators: | The Decorating Committee works closely with all groups in the Parish to enhance worship by decorating the parish to complement the liturgical calendar. |
